Govenor Mary Fallin, Secretary of Transportation Gary Ridley, and the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority (OTA) recently announced Oklahoma’s Driving Forward Program, which represents approximately $892 million in improvements to Oklahoma’s turnpike system. Included in this is a plan to construct a new turnpike in Eastern Oklahoma County which will connect I-40 to I-44 (Turner Turnpike). The City of Choctaw supports this measure and has created this page to keep our citizens up to date with the progress.
The files below include correspondence between the OTA and the City of Choctaw, as well as the Resolutions passed by the City in regards to the new Northeast Turnpike Loop. For more information, please visit the OTA Driving Forward webpage or the OTA’s direct webpage at www.pikepass.com. You can call them at 405-425-3600. You can also visit our City Council page to review upcoming agendas to see if there will be any upcoming action by the City regarding the Turnpike.
